Morgan McKinley is delighted to support a dynamic accounting practice in Cork who is seeking a talented and experienced Associate Director/Director to lead their Asset Management Audit team. In this pivotal role, you'll play a key role in driving client growth, managing projects, and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities: Client Focus: Identify business opportunities within client organizations, develop strong client relationships, and prepare compelling business tenders to win new engagements. Project Leadership: Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of asset management clients, including funds and SPVs, ensuring project delivery within budget and deadline. Team Management: Supervise and coach junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to firm standards. Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong technical skills in Irish GAAP, auditing standards, and IFRS. Quality & Efficiency: Lead the review and oversight of audit work, ensuring accuracy and efficient completion. Decision-Making: Make sound professional judgments based on audit findings. Growth & Development: Contribute to the growth of the Asset Management Audit practice through portfolio management initiatives. Requirements: ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 7+ years' post-qualification experience. Proven experience in the asset management audit sector, particularly with funds and SPVs. Strong technical understanding of Irish GAAP, auditing standards (ISAs), and IFRS. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate staff, especially under tight deadlines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Experience working collaboratively within a team environment. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen. Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
