Job Description

Assets and Facilities Manager role in Dublin, Kildare, and Wicklow, with a hybrid working model, responsible for ensuring operational excellence in maintenance programmes for the organisation's assets.

The role involves managing the delivery of maintenance services for housing, residential stock, non-residential service buildings, offices, and vehicles, ensuring high standards and efficient services. As a member of the Resources Team, the Assets and Facilities Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues to bring a whole organisation perspective to managing assets, sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise across the organisation.

The Assets and Facilities Manager will demonstrate strong leadership in the delivery of asset management services, ensuring Gheel Autism Services continues to provide sustainable quality supports in every aspect of the service. The role requires a high standard working knowledge of Microsoft office 365 applications and systems such as Sharepoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational excellence in the delivery of maintenance programmes for the organisation's assets
  • Manage the delivery of maintenance services for housing, residential stock, non-residential service buildings, offices, and vehicles
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to bring a whole organisation perspective to managing assets
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in the delivery of asset management services

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QQI Level 8 in Building Surveying, Facilities Management, and/or equivalent in a technical qualification relevant to the role
  • Driving License and use of own car
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a role with responsibility for building/construction and/or responsibility for maintenance programmes, vendor management, and asset management

Professional Knowledge:

  • National standards for approved housing bodies
  • Housing (Standards for Rented Houses) Regulations 2019
  • Fire Services Acts (1981 and 2003)
  • Obligation set out under Health & Safety Authority and relevant Local Authority Building Control Departments
  • A high standard working knowledge of Microsoft office 365 applications and systems such as Sharepoint

Salary Scale:

  • Successful candidates will be paid in line with the Gheel Autism Services CLG Clerical Officer Grade VII pay scale point 1: €54,123 – point 9: €66,078 (LSI 1; €68,521 per annum and LSI2; €70,971 per annum) based on working a 39-hour week
  • There will be 27 days/210.6 hours of annual leave for this post
