Job Description

Our client a well know and highly regarded Charity based in Dublin are currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them on an initial contract basis. As part of the Finance Team this role will report to a Finance Manager Main Duties Work within the finance department and assist the finance team as required. Processing of monthly income journals to finance system, and review of reconciliation of finance system to CRM donor database. Review of monthly grant income recognition entries on finance system. Monthly Management Accounts: Distribution of monthly management accounts for fundraising departments Regular liaison with budget holders regarding management accounts Revenue Compliance preparation and submission of VAT and RCT returns (Focus Housing Association). 4. Review of monthly supplier account reconciliations 5. Balance Sheet account reconciliations and related journals. 6. Procurement: Review existing cost lines under a value-for-money exercise Manage evaluation process for new suppliers 7. Support for junior staff members on team 8. Any other ad-hoc duties as agreed with the Head of Finance. Essential Criteria Proven experience of working within a finance team, with relevant on the job experience to match JD (minimum 5 years) Minimum Accounting Qualification ACCA/ACA/CIMA or Accounting Technician Excellent administration, organisational and numerical skills Skilled in the use of Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate confidentially with a wide variety of people Ability to innovate and self-motivate in a busy environment Desirable Criteria Experience of working in the voluntary sector Experience of staff management and support Experience of working with Business Central/MS Dynamics/Solver Role will be working on a Hybrid Model once trained up with 2 days in the office Hours can be 9-5pm or 8.30-4.30pm Lovely oppotunity to join a worth while organisation If you are interested in the above or any other finance roles please contact Yvonne Rafter Ph: or e-mail: Skills: 'reconciliations' 'balance sheet' 'management accounts' Benefits: Work From Home
