Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance team, supporting the LPG business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support in preparing monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Managing statutory filings, including statutory accounts, revenue returns, and statistical returns, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with the analysis of monthly operating costs and balance sheet items, identifying variances and trends for management review.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of financial forecasts and budgets, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Serving as a point of contact for internal and external audit queries, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting.
- Posting journals to the appropriate ledgers, ensuring correct allocation and accurate financial records.
- Assisting in the enforcement and continuous improvement of internal controls, ensuring processes are effective and compliant.
