What You Need to Know Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountanton behalf of our client, a well-established business in the agriculture sector, based in Tipperary. Your New Job Key duties and responsibilities: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including both euro and foreign currency accounts. Prepare month-end journals and assist with month-end close activities. Carry out general ledger reconciliations and review general ledger transactions to ensure accurate cost allocation. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register. Assist with preparing audit files for the year-end audit. Work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to ensure accurate billing and payment processes. Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities. Collaborate with various departments across the organisation. Complete other ad-hoc finance duties as required. What Are We Looking For? 3-4 years' experience in a similar finance role. Accounts Technician Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant. Experience in assisting with the preparation of management accounts. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Sage is an advantage.
