We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing, specializing in Forensic Psychiatry. Join a team dedicated to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Join us for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by supporting those who need it most.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Updating and maintaining precise individual care plans to ensure services are consistently delivered with excellence in quality and safety.Lead efforts to maintain superior infection control practices, safeguarding the health of patients, staff, and visitors.Conduct thorough assessments, design, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual needs, working collaboratively with patients, carers, and other professionals.Uphold and enforce safety protocols, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures to maintain a secure and compliant environment.Perform comprehensive nursing evaluations for all incoming patients, establishing a foundation for superior care.Lead efforts in collaborating with external agencies to ensure effective communication across services.Maintain high standards of nursing care during clinical procedures, ensuring the safe handling and administration of medications.Mentor and oversee staff, assist the Director of Nursing, and lead the center in their absence, fostering a supportive team environment.Address and report professional issues to the Director of Nursing as needed, facilitating initial investigations when necessary.Prepare thoroughly for visits and inspections by the Mental Health Commission, ensuring readiness and compliance.Qualifications/Requirements:Registered with the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).Post-registration (QQI Level 8 or higher) qualification in healthcare management.At least 5+ years of post-qualification experience in psychiatric nursing.A minimum of 3+ years in a managerial role within psychiatric nursing.Demonstrated experience in critical or clinical care settings.Deep understanding of the Health Act 2007, Mental Health Act 2001, Mental Health Amendment Act 2018, Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, and all related regulations.Outstanding organisational and communication skills.A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.What Our Client Offers:A role that makes a meaningful impact every day by supporting those who need it most.Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).Life Assurance and Death-in-Service.Continuous learning, offering ongoing training and development opportunities.Education Assistance.Company Pension.Benefits of Working With 3Q Recruitment:Guidance on interview techniques and preparation.Assistance in enhancing your CV.Access to our referral program.A training bursary to support further education.Take the Next Step in Your Career!At 3Q Recruitment, we help guide nursing, radiography, and allied healthcare professionals towards fulfilling careers where they can truly make a difference.
