Job Description

Title: Assistant Lecturer in Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveying (Permanent Wholetime) (Reference: 322a/2024) Brief summary of post:The School of Surveying and Construction Innovation is seeking to appoint an Assistant Lecturer in Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveying. The post will be offered on a Permanent Whole-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, delivery and quality assurance of programmes at the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation. In addition to teaching, the role will involve curriculum development, programme management and administration, and pastoral care for students. Candidates should have a track record of work experience in the area of Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveying which will support the teaching, research and scholarly activities of the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible and work on his/her own initiative as well as contributing to a team of professionals. The school is seeking an enthusiastic team player who has a passion for Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveying and who has the ability to network with colleagues and other stakeholders. Hours of Work:This is a wholetime post. In addition to teaching hours (up to 18 hours per week), attendance is required from Monday to Friday during the general working hours of the School and Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale.
