The successful applicant will report to the manager of the Payment Operations Department to provide high quality service and support to ensure delivery of the payment related business objectives. The role will be flexible in that you will be expected to assist in the delivery of multiple functions and projects within the department as well as lead and manage the Payments Operations team. Responsibilities: Overseeing the daily operations of both the Payments and FX Operations teams. Manage the liquidity position of the PTSB RT1 account to ensure sufficient levels of funding available at all times for payment processing. Implement and manage maximum and minimum balance thresholds on the RT1 account and adjust where necessary. Forecast high value processing periods through MI and data manipulation and adjust for same. Liaise with Treasury to monitor liquidity position and execute ad hoc transfers where applicable. Support for RT1 annual release and testing cycles. Responsible for all foreign exchange processes including reconciliation, settlement, transaction processing in accordance with PSD requirements. Management of the SEPA processing overseeing file monitoring and reconciliation Responsible for ensuring BPFI and CBI reporting is submitted accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for Central Bank settlement under tight deadlines for both paper through the exchange and electronic through EBA and TARGET2. Responsible for ensuring all day to day customer queries on anything payment related through phone, email or online channels are responded to within required SLAs. Participate in the delivery of numerous payments projects including project submissions, UAT, delivery and training for the department. Requirements: Knowledge of SEPA payments flows. Strong people management skills with a focus on managing and motivating a team in a challenging environment with strong operational planning skills to motivate the team to deliver agreed SLAs. Solid time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise and maintain a steadfast focus on driving towards a positive outcome. Broad knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the bank operates. Capacity to forge successful relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
