Job Description

Full-time Assistant Night Manager position available at Crowne Plaza Dublin Blanchardstown, a large-scale internationally branded hotel.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and organized individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about people, maintaining and driving standards, and providing superb guest service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out duties to the standards as laid down in the standard of performance manuals
  • Compiling reports as requested
  • Ensuring all interfaces are operational at all times
  • Handling guest queries promptly and efficiently
  • Recording and performing wakeup calls in a timely manner
  • Supervising night staff in the absence of the Night Manager
  • Preparing and serving food and beverage during the night shift
  • Ensuring compliance with RSA policy and security procedures
  • Updating IHG One Rewards membership through the Holidex system
  • Making follow-up calls to guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Complying with cash handling and billing policies
  • Liaising with housekeeping and Night Manager to ensure guest requests are met
  • Participating in the up-sell program to move guests into suites and higher-rated rooms
  • Answering telephones, transferring calls, and taking messages
  • Assisting in achieving departmental costs and maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Providing a proper handover from shift to shift
  • Booking out guests and ensuring follow-up is undertaken
  • Maximizing occupancy and rate through managing the shift
  • Controlling the safety of all guests during nights
  • Posting charges and ensuring all banking procedures are followed
  • Setting up and cleaning areas for each morning
  • Dealing with staff issues efficiently and in line with HR procedures
  • Following the hotel's response to emergency situations
  • Handling guest complaints and queries
  • Resolving problems, queries, or complaints as they arise
  • Ensuring health and safety best practices at all times
  • Providing support in other areas of the hotel if required

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to lead a team and motivate team members
  • Strong knowledge of Opera and Front Desk duties
  • Previous experience as a manager within a 4-star hotel for at least 1-2 years
  • A passion to grow, learn, and develop within the role
  • Exceptional standards in hygiene, health, and safety, stock control, appearance, and customer service
  • Strong up-selling skills to maximize profits
  • High attention to detail
  • Own transport essential
