Assistant Practice Accountants (Cork) A highly successful firm of Accountants located in the heart of Cork City Centre is currently recruiting for two assistant accountants to join their team. Reporting to a senior accountant candidates will ideally have between 2 to 3 years relevant accountancy practice experience, gained here in Ireland. Hybrid working will be available after the initial settling period. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation and completion of accounts for sole traders. Preparation of management accounts and year end accounts for limited companies. Assisting with the preparation of audited accounts files. Preparation of income tax and corporation tax returns. Meet deadlines for company secretarial and tax returns. Processing of VAT returns and ensuring compliance to filing deadlines Address client and revenue queries. Criteria: Ideally be studying CPA, ACCA or ACA, or close to final exams. Minimum of 24 months experience working in an accountancy practice. Previous experience within retail accounting also an advantage. All relevant applications will be considered. Proficiency in accounting systems software. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Capable of working on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
