Assistant Product Technologist - Footwear and Accessories Our client, a leading international clothing retailer, is seeking a confident Assistant Product Technologist for their Footwear and Accessories range. The successful candidate for our client's fashion team must already have strong technical expertise in footwear and accessories, to deliver quality products that are safe, legal and fit for purpose. Dublin city centre based. Salary & Benefits: Salary €50-55k Bonus Healthcare Pension 27 days annual leave Agile working and flexible working hours Responsibilities: Have extensive technical knowledge of footwear and accessories to develop products that are safe, within legal frameworks, meet quality standards and meet the needs and expectations of our customers. To have the industry knowledge to conduct market research against competitors to make the necessary adjustments to increase brand performance. Help identify potential fit, fabric or component quality issues and provide technical expertise on how to resolve them. Work with the Quality Department to identify at-risk products or suppliers; make business recommendations on quality; review customer comments on quality incidents and keep a record of them. Communicate and assist suppliers on technical product development and quality standards. Communicates and interacts in a clear and concise manner tailored to the audience and objectives. Independently makes decisions within parameters always following quality standards. Attends B&M department meetings on behalf of the quality function. Requirements: Technical background required with focus on Footwear and/or Accessories is preferred. 2-3 years related industry experience. Full understanding of grading. Proactive problem solver and commercially minded. Full understanding of mass production. Experience of working hand-in-hand to varied supplier base.
