Assistant Production Manager - Co. Cavan. We are seeking a candidate to join a busy Food processing firm in the Co. Cavan region. This ideally suits a person seeking to build a career in the Food Production/Processing industry and is seeking a future in People Management/Production Management. You will be joining as an Assistant/Trainee Production Manager and shadowing the current Production Manager with a view to taking over that position when the incumbent retires as planned. You will be joining a 10person team. The food industry is within meat processing. We are seeking candidates who meet the below: Food Science or similar industry Degree graduated. An interest in Operations, Logistics and/or Food supply chain. Quality Assurance background ideally. An interest/previous experience in Lean Business. An interest in People Management is essential. An interest in Site Management. Further info: This is a hands on role. You will be learning from the current Production Manager with an eventual aim to take over that position. You will be learning all Quality and Food Safety Elements You will be taught the company systems, get to know materials, products, suppliers and production costings.
