We are seeking a candidate to join a busy Food processing firm in the Co. Cavan region as an Assistant Production Manager. This role is ideal for a person seeking to build a career in the Food Production/Processing industry and is looking to develop their skills in People Management/Production Management. As an Assistant/Trainee Production Manager, you will be shadowing the current Production Manager with a view to taking over that position when the incumbent retires as planned. You will be joining a 10-person team in the meat processing sector. Key requirements:
- Food Science or similar industry Degree graduated.
- An interest in Operations, Logistics and/or Food supply chain.
- Quality Assurance background ideally.
- An interest/previous experience in Lean Business.
- An interest in People Management is essential.
- An interest in Site Management.
- Learning all Quality and Food Safety Elements.
- Learning the company systems.
- Getting to know materials, products, suppliers and production costings.
- Learning how to make site management decisions.
