Job Description

An Assistant Psychologist role within My Psychology Ireland involves supporting principal psychologists and other therapists in delivering psychological services. Key responsibilities include providing in-person psychological care, delivering group-based interventions, and gaining insight into private practice.

The role requires clinical supervision, adherence to the Psychological Society of Ireland Guidelines, and operation within the PSI's Code of Ethics. The Assistant Psychologist will also engage with families and carers, deliver training, and ensure the protection of service user data.

  • Engage in supervised direct client-facing work delivering evidence-based primary care interventions.
  • Contribute to client assessments, clinical case formulations, and family engagement.
  • Deliver training and ensure adherence to national and local policies on safeguarding.

The role also involves planning and managing workload, maintaining records, and supporting administrative tasks. Research, audit, and service evaluations may be required. The post holder may be assigned additional duties as appropriate.

This is a part-time position with 20 expected hours per week at €15.80 per hour. Benefits include flexitime and sick pay. The work location is in-person.
