Applications are invited for the following post: Assistant Psychologist (Specified Purpose Wholetime) (Reference: 376/2024) The Assistant Psychologists (APs) will join a large and busy team of psychologists and psychotherapists. The Head of Counselling will be in direct line management of the Assistant Psychologists. The Counselling Team work together to co-ordinate and deliver regular on-going therapy to students. The service is delivered within a Stepped-Care framework, ensuring that an appropriate, efficient, and effective service is delivered to as many students as possible. The Assistant Psychologists will work within step 1 of the model under supervision from a Senior Counselling Psychologist. This position is particularly suited to those seeking further experience in mental health in order to prepare for a doctoral programme in clinical or counselling psychology. We are also interested in developing a wider Peer Support programme for student. The Assistant Psychologist roles will involve work in this area, under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist. Hours of Work: A 35 hour working week is in operation. Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublins i.e. Tallaght Campus.
