Assistant Site Manager Location: Ringsakiddy, Co Cork Duration: Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week Overview of the Role: The assistant manager will be responsible for commercial and technical management of the contract at our client site, develop key client relationships and mutually develop and lead a high-performance team delivering world class hard facilities services. The role requires a skilled manager with pharma engineering experience who is compliance and safety focused. We are seeking a highly motivated and safety conscious individual to assist managing our utilities hard services contract for one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies based in Co. Cork. The assistant manager will be responsible for commercial and technical management of the contract at our client site, develop key client relationships and mutually develop and lead a high-performance team delivering world class hard facilities services. The role requires a skilled manager with pharma engineering experience who is compliance and safety focused. Day to Day of the Role: Responsible for the Proactive facilities management service delivery Responsible for client management and satisfaction Improve the maintenance work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays, defects and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of maintenance resources & activities. Develop & monitor Maintenance KPI's and maintain tracking tools to monitor. Oversees and manages the staff's daily operations consisting of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical building systems, utilities, and equipment. Assist in the Planning, scheduling, and coordination of general maintenance, major repairs, and project work. GMP requirements and compliance is maintained as per site procedures; any deviations are reported and investigated as required. Coordinate and oversee operations, maintenance, administration, and improvement works. Maintain and manage the repairs and maintenance budget (GMAX) Review and certify the eligibility of existing and prospective vendors and ensure they comply with industry standards and regulations. Manage and be the first point of contact for the BFM team. Identification and filling of roles on team when/if required. Other duties as assigned by the Site Lead. Required Skills for the Role: Essential: Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably mechanical/ process and/or building services, with three to ten years post graduate experience, or Trade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), preferably mechanical/building services, with ten to fifteen years post apprenticeship experience, or Marine qualification, with six to ten years' experience at sea. Maintenance and troubleshooting experience of the following systems and processes: Plant steam boilers and boiler water treatment and generation systems; HVAC; tower water systems; RO/Purified Water; DIW, Plant Steam, Clean Steam; LPHW and DH&CW Systems; Compressed Air; Process gases; Power distribution; Building Management Systems; Validation; Has an strong background with Atex / Hazardous Area equipment experience. Self-motivation, ability to work alone and as part of team Good communication and interpersonal skills Computer Skills (Excel, Word etc) Desirable: A recognized and applicable third level qualification to Diploma level or higher in the area if Engineering, Construction or Facilities management. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical/medical device or other similar highly regulated industry Previous experience managing a high performing team in a fast paced and challenging environment. Experienced in managing a repairs and maintenance contract and working within budget constraints. Proven experience working in Engineering, Maintenance or Manufacturing function. Previous experience in maintaining Vendor Managed Service Contracts (SLA's etc.) and Building fabric maintenance. Experience in managing a team of 20+ employees. Strong knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems Must be knowledgeable of the regulatory and GMP requirements for maintenance activities, instrumentation, and calibration. Understand the proper use of work orders, priorities, scheduling, etc. Commitment to customer service. Demonstrate an ability to motivate and drive a team in a continuous improvement environment. Ability to recognize job hazards and ensure the safety of both staff and contractors.
