Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Store Manager for our clients based in Macroom, Co. Cork. Your main responsibility will be to support the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our clients' convenience store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage store operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Store Manager in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and safety.
  2. Help recruit, train, and supervise store staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
  3. Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Create a welcoming and engaging shopping atmosphere.
  4. Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and ensure products are well-organised and accurately priced. Coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment.
  5. Support the implementation of sales strategies and in-store promotions to achieve financial targets. Monitor store performance and contribute to sales reports.
  6. Ensure store operations adhere to company policies, health and safety standards, and local regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Previous experience in retail management or a supervisory role, preferably in a convenience store.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  4. Proficiency in inventory management and sales reporting.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
