Role Title: Assistant Tax Manager, Group Tax, Dublin Location: Hybrid working, which will include a blend of onsite (Molesworth St, Dublin) and remote working Are you looking for a new challenge? About the Role: Our teams work to provide insightful financial information to inform decision making across AIB, meet our regulatory commitments, manage AIB's capital, liquidity and cost effectively and protect the assets of our business for the long term. By doing that we work to contribute to an exceptional customer experience. In Group Tax, our key objective is to support the business through the delivery of a comprehensive tax advisory service. This is achieved by ensuring that all statutory tax obligations are met and that the Group's tax position is efficiently managed in accordance with the Group Tax Policy. Key Responsibilities Include: Manage the corporate tax compliance and tax provisioning processes for a portfolio of Irish companies; Advise on Irish corporation tax aspects of transactions/projects to enable AIB to meet its strategic goals; Work with the business on the operational tax aspects of their activities to ensure that tax obligations are met on a timely basis; Analyse and interpret tax laws, regulations, case law and guidance to support advice to business and interactions with tax authorities; Communicate effectively with non-tax colleagues on complex tax issues; Build close working relationships with business areas by providing day to day guidance, advice and support as required; Participate in the management of tax risk across the AIB Group. What will you bring: Qualified ITI Chartered Tax Advisor Minimum 4 years corporate tax experience in practice or industry Strong knowledge of Irish corporate tax issues and an appreciation of other Irish taxes of relevance to a banking group Good communication and influencing skills. Ability to communicate effectively on tax issues to non-tax people Experience of managing and dealing with diverse workstreams and delivering to specific deadlines Proficient IT user, particularly Alphatax and Excel Life at AIB At AIB, we have a clear purpose - Empowering people to build a sustainable future.
