Job Description

**Clinical Data Science Programmer Role Summary:** Develop and maintain clinical data management systems, program dynamic electronic case report forms, and ensure data integrity.

As a Clinical System Developer, you will use technical, industrial, and interpersonal skills to program clinical data management systems and Non-CDMS components. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the design and assembly of electronic case report forms (eCRFs)
  • Reviewing and commenting on Edit Check Specifications (ECS) and modifying library edit checks when required
  • Programming dynamic eCRF functionality and edit checks according to defined specifications
  • Developing custom programs and Data Validation Outputs (DVO) and reviewing developed outputs to ensure they meet agreed specifications
  • Reviewing Data Transfer Specifications (DTS) and providing constructive feedback
  • Creating and maintaining external data handling instructions and import program specifications
  • Receiving and managing regular imports of data, including blinded and unblinded data
  • Contributing to the management of trial deliverables and project scope
  • Tracking and communicating project development status and worked units to the project team and functional management
  • Actively participating in internal meetings and providing constructive feedback to peers, team leads, and managers, and functional management
  • Responsible for raw data transfers out of the CDMS

**Requirements:**

  • Solid knowledge of the requirements, capabilities, and limitations of at least one clinical data management system
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical environments and clinical data management systems
  • Good written and oral communication and presentation skills
