About the Role

The Depositary Operations team is responsible for ensuring Northern Trust fulfils its oversight and regulatory responsibilities under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD) & UCITS Directives.

  • Verify "Other Assets" and familiarize with different fund structures and documentation.
  • Ensure reporting requirements for internal and external clients are produced on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings to ensure Depositary Operations meet governance requirements.
  • Review exposure reporting on Market Oversight - Restricted/Watch Markets for multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Perform Asset Verification activities, sourcing documentation to verify ownership of the Fund over "Other Assets".
  • Review existing processes and ensure procedures are being adhered to.
  • Ensure new clients and new fund launches are incorporated into relevant processes.

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible approach to changing business requirements.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills.
  • Ability to display initiative and professionalism.
  • Fund administration experience, ideally in Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt or Fund of Fund asset classes.
