About the Role
The Depositary Operations team is responsible for ensuring Northern Trust fulfils its oversight and regulatory responsibilities under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD) & UCITS Directives.
- Verify "Other Assets" and familiarize with different fund structures and documentation.
- Ensure reporting requirements for internal and external clients are produced on a monthly basis.
- Participate in quarterly meetings to ensure Depositary Operations meet governance requirements.
- Review exposure reporting on Market Oversight - Restricted/Watch Markets for multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
- Perform Asset Verification activities, sourcing documentation to verify ownership of the Fund over "Other Assets".
- Review existing processes and ensure procedures are being adhered to.
- Ensure new clients and new fund launches are incorporated into relevant processes.
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexible approach to changing business requirements.
- Excellent multi-tasking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent administration and organizational skills.
- Ability to display initiative and professionalism.
- Fund administration experience, ideally in Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt or Fund of Fund asset classes.
