Associate Cost Manager

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Participate in the tender/bid process, from initial documentation to analysis and reporting.
* Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
* Assist in preparing and agreeing final accounts, handling claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken.
* Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
* Oversee project spend, creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicating variations.
* Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
* Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
* Engage new clients and repeat projects with existing clients through business development skills.
* Foster top performance and growth for employees through excellent mentorship and leadership.
**Specialized Focus:**
This role focuses on post-contract fit-out for a life sciences project. The successful candidate will manage the post-contract phase efficiently, emphasizing quality, budget control, and timely delivery.
**Requirements:**
* Experienced cost manager on large-scale construction projects with increasing levels of leadership.
* Chartered or on the path to completing it.
* Degree or comparable experience in project management or construction discipline.
* Significant experience in pre- and post-contract cost management, particularly with fit-out projects in the life sciences sector.
* Excellent communicator verbally and in writing.
* Strong relationships with team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
