To learn more about our purpose, culture, and priorities, visit ourstrategy site.Within our consult business we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project.The project:The IMF programme manager shall lead the delivery of the information management framework (IMF) on behalf of the directorate to ensure the production of project information and to ensure work is undertaken in line with the projects methods and procedures and aligns with best practice.The role holder will be required to provide leadership in information management and will engage with the information management team and third parties to prioritise the development and rollout of key products that influence and govern the production of project information. The IMF programme manager shall act as a source of expert advice in information frameworks development.Our values shape the way we consult, and define the people we want to join us on our journey, they are:Safety first - Going home safe and wellClient focus - Deliver on our promiseIntegrity - Always do the right thingCreate opportunity - for our people to excelYou'll be responsible for:Overseeing the establishment of the IMF to manage the production and retention of project information across the programme lifecycle and ensure objectives concerning information management are met including key product requirements to produce project informationLeading the information management team within the directorate, including people/talent management and the development of standard operating proceduresSupporting the successful adoption of the IMF through a series of education and training initiativesOverseeing aspects of the tender design relating to information management designed following codes of practice, relevant standards and best international practiceWorking over the entire lifecycle of the project from concept and detailed design through to construction and handover.Ensuring that the IMF responds appropriately to the specific elements of the user brief, such that all the requirements and expectations are adequately reflected, and that the IMF is compliant with GDPR and any other statutory requirementsAssess project requirements relating to information management and all interfacing design elements to ensure they are feasible and in line with the clients objectivesEnsure future tenders and contract documents incorporate requirements of approved IMFDemonstrating through use of business intelligence tools the value of the IMF to the projectDemonstrating consideration as to legacy around capability development, the environment, sector innovation (construction and mass transportation sectors), and the wider sustainability of the programmeAudit technical processes and procedures relating to information management across MetroLink including the development and initiation of quality standards for tests, inspections and evaluationsImplement robust quality management systems relating to the management of information and the IMF.Provide input into cost-reduction exercisesManaging and overseeing all issues, root causes, and corrective actions recommended/taken to ensure closure promptlyContributing to the continuous drive towards a high-performance culture within the information management teamSupporting stakeholders, external designers and contractors in ensuring that the best value design outcome is achievedResponding in a timely manner to technical queries and requests for information from stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleProviding input into the relevant project processes and proceduresEnsuring clear coordination with other aspects of the projects (design and engineering, procurement, PMO etc.) to ensure interfaces are feasible and agreedYou'll need to have:Minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject area such as engineering, computer scienceGood influencing skills to manage and motivate teams in support of delivery of high risk, value and complex projects and programmes.An ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to coordinate and communicate important information across the teamYou'll also have:Level 9 Masters in relevant field would be advantageous (or equivalent masters)Well-developed interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to develop long-term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processesAn ability to foster a committed, strategic, innovative and inclusive cultureAbility to work in a collaborative manner that is positive, open, transparent and is a clear and effective communicatorMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
