Job Description

Experienced Associate Director sought to lead Bridge Design Team in Dublin, driving business development and managing projects with a focus on quality, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Manage a local team of Bridge engineering professionals.
  • Business Development: Drive business development and manage tender bids for professional services contracts.
  • Resource Planning: Conduct short, medium, and long-term resource planning to ensure project success.
  • Design Oversight: Provide design input and oversee the delivery of structural aspects of projects.
  • Project Management: Manage medium and large-sized projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are delivered.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external parties, including clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • PSDP Duties: Assist in undertaking the duties of the Project Supervisor Design Process.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Eurocodes and structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil or LUSAS).
  • Experience: Experience in the design and refurbishment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
  • Teamwork: Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Geographic Experience: Ireland and/or UK experience.

Requirements:

  • Education: Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience as Bridge / Senior Bridge Engineer, with at least 10 years of experience on Irish projects post-graduation.
  • Professional Qualification: Chartered Bridge Engineer (CEng, MIStruct E, or equivalent).
