Associate Director - Audit and Assurance at a global professional services firm in Ireland.
A global professional services firm with nearly 3,000 people across multiple offices in Ireland is seeking an Associate Director for their Audit and Assurance team.
This role offers exposure to a variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, hospitality, construction, and telecommunications, with opportunities to work with clients locally and globally.
The successful candidate will lead audit engagements, develop strong client relationships, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit engagements and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality services.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and understanding their business needs.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, accounting standards, and the firm's methodologies.
- Supervising and mentoring audit staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Assisting in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Required skills and attributes include:
- ACA/ACCA qualification.
- 7+ years' experience in audit and assurance.
- Strong technical skills in Irish GAAP and auditing standards, with IFRS a plus.
- Experience with electronic auditing tools.
- Ability to manage and motivate teams under tight deadlines.
