Job Description
Associate Director of Industry Relations
Develop and manage relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers to negotiate rebate discounts in exchange for formulary access to government books of business.
- Financial modelling and analytics for rebate optimization and lowest net cost strategy assessment of pharmaceutical products
- Clinical knowledge of multiple therapeutic categories for manufacturer assignments
- Contract negotiation processes, including review and coordination with internal legal and contract experts
- Formulary contract negotiations and interactions with pharmaceutical manufacturers in compliance with corporate policies and objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Contracting negotiations, strategy development, and contract redlining experience
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in Pharmacy or Advanced degree (MBA or PharmD)
- Experience in managed health care or pharmacy benefit management
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry context
