We currently have a vacancy for an Associate Economiston a specified purpose contract for approximately two years in the International Finance Division.
The purpose of the role is providing research and statistical assistance to Economists on the assigned team in order to contribute to the Banks goal of providing independent economic advice through undertaking substantive analysis and forecasting of developments in the relevant area of economics.
Provide statistical and econometric assistance to the economists on the assigned team in order to contribute to the empirical and theoretical analysis of economic developments.
Prepare early stage analysis, literature searches and reviews on research topics for the assistance of the economists in the Division.
Support high quality applied research of a publication standard in both internal (Economic Letters, Bulletin Articles and Research Technical Papers) and external (refereed domestic, EU and International journals) journals in order to increase the research profile of the Central Bank and to ensure stakeholders understanding of policy decisions/issues.
Present on the research and analytical work of the Division to staff groups and external visitors in order to foster effective engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
Support colleagues participation at EU working groups in order to ensure that the Central Bank effectively participates at these fora Requirements: A Masters degree in Economics.
