Location(s) Dublin Employment Type Permanent Department CIO Group Description Fantastic opportunity for a Risk professional with experience and knowledge in sustainability or ESG to join the growing and dynamic Risk team in Carne. What are the minimum requirements you need for the role? Third level qualification in Finance, ESG related qualification. Good understanding of different kinds of environmental, social or governance events or conditions that, if they occur, could cause a negative material impact on the value of an investment. Previous experience in the implementation of at least two of the following at an asset management company, a risk management consulting firm, or a ManCo: ESG, SFDR, Taxonomy Regulation, TCFD, or Sustainability Risk would be an advantage. Knowledge of asset classes and their sub-categories and working with portfolio holdings files. Who are we looking for? To cope with the expansion of our Fund Risk department, we are currently looking for an ESG Risk Associate to strengthen our enthusiastic team. What is your role and your responsibilities? As an ESG specialist within our team you will help Carne enhance our sustainability risk framework and work with our clients to strengthen their measurement of sustainability risks and factors, this will include supporting the following: Perform ongoing monitoring of investment risks, including sustainability risks, of client funds to ensure that each continues to be managed in line with investment objectives, policy and within its investment risk and relevant regulatory restrictions. Liaise with fund’s stakeholders such as investment managers, administrators, auditors, etc Oversee the integration of sustainability risk into investment portfolios in order to assess and manage the exposures of those portfolios to sustainability risk. Advise on appropriate metrics to measure the different components of sustainability risk, namely, environmental, social, and governance. Identify different approaches to measure sustainability risk in sovereign debt, private debt, private equity, infrastructure, and real estate funds. Work with the implementation team to industrialise the production of sustainability risk for large number of funds. Support the Risk team with ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as needed.
