Fantastic opportunity for a corporate finance professional to support the risk & valuation management strategy in Carne Group - the premier provider of Fund-Management solutions to asset managers across the world. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Risk & Valuation Associate, to support the Risk & Valuation team in performing valuations, risk assessments, and analysis of portfolio holdings. In this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of valuation methodologies and risk management principles, as well as the ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you should be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also being able to work collaboratively with other team members. What are the minimum requirements for the role? Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Relevant experience in the fund industry, with a focus on valuations, risk management, or investment analysis would be an asset. Knowledge of financial modelling and valuation techniques, as well as industry standards and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications. Familiarity with Bloomberg functionality would be a plus. What is your role and responsibilities? Assist in the preparation and review of valuation reports for portfolio holdings, ensuring that valuations are accurate and comply with industry standards and best practices. Participate in risk assessments and analysis of portfolio holdings to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investment managers, auditors, and regulators, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Monitoring and analyzing market trends and economic conditions to inform investment decisions and identify potential opportunities and risks. Generate periodic risk analytics utilising in-house and/or third-party risk reporting tools. Support the Risk & Valuation team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as needed. What competencies do you require? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyze complex financial data and market trends. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, competent to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
