Job Description
Regeneron seeks an experienced Associate Manager/Manager in Calibration to lead the Technical Operations Calibration team and maintain equipment in a validated state to support production schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Calibration team to ensure equipment is maintained in a validated state
- Communicating site safety policies and procedures and fostering a safe work culture
- Planning departmental staffing patterns and operating expenses
- Managing departmental staffing and employee performance
- Supporting day-to-day activities and projects, and coordinating work with internal departments and external agencies
- Acting as subject matter expert and presenting topics to regulatory inspectors
- Ensuring the Calibration team works closely with FM scheduling function to support business needs
- Participating in the development of policies and procedures for the department, division, and organization
- Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements
- Directing and coordinating the activities of employees assigned to the calibrations function
- Training and evaluating employees in company policies, goals, and objectives
- Maintaining an adequate workforce to support present needs and planning for departmental requirements in the future
This role requires:
- A deep understanding of calibration processes and equipment
- Proven experience in operational management, including project coordination and stakeholder management
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert in calibration and present topics to regulatory inspectors
- Expertise in employee management, including performance management and conducting yearly performance evaluations
Requirements include:
- BS/BA and 8+ years of engineering, maintenance/calibration, and/or project management experience
- 5+ years' experience in a pharmaceutical or other cGMP environment preferred
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
