Job Description: Lead Assurance Manager for FDI/DIO Group
PwC Ireland is seeking a highly experienced Lead Assurance Manager to join our FDI/DIO group, comprising 19 Partners and 613 Professionals across Dublin and Regional offices.
The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals in providing audit and other assurance services to fast-growing, dynamic, and established sectors of the economy.
The role involves:
- Liaising with lead partners to ensure timely completion of jobs and fees
- Reviewing staff allocation and comparing with original requisition and budgeted fees
- Agreeing timetables with administrators and individual managers
- Organizing and reviewing work, delegating tasks as agreed with lead partners
- Allocating costs and keeping track of outstanding jobs
- Attending manager meetings and discussing workload with staff
- Organizing weekly conference calls and regular meetings with management and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing client audit files, planning, and completion
- Conducting engagement assessments, budgeting, and determining resource requirements
- Drafting board reports, engagement letters, and audit representation letters
- Developing client relationships and liaising with lead managers
- Assuming a coaching performance management role and aligning staff development with Connected Thinking
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of practice accounting experience in a Big 4 firm or other international accounting firm
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to exceptional client service and intellectual curiosity
- Detailed understanding of Irish and US GAAP, PCAOB, and GAAS
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage relationships at all levels
