They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. Job Overview: The Accounts & Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of tax returns, accounts preparation, audit processes, and providing tax advisory and consultancy services to our diverse client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing client relationships and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Tax Returns: Manage the preparation and filing of corporate and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients and advise them on the implications of various tax strategies. Handle revenue inquiries and manage communications with tax authorities on behalf of clients. Accounts Preparation: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements. Ensure that all financial records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and accounting standards. Review and finalize accounts for submission to relevant authorities and clients. Audit: Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring audits are conducted efficiently and effectively. Identify areas of risk during audits and develop recommendations for improvement. Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to resolve audit issues and finalize audit reports. Tax Advisory/Consultancy: Provide expert tax advisory services to clients, including planning and structuring advice to optimise tax positions. Develop and implement tax strategies tailored to client needs, including corporate restructuring, VAT planning, and international tax matters. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and ensure clients are informed of any impact on their businesses. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for all tax and accounting matters. Provide proactive advice to clients, ensuring their financial health and compliance with all relevant regulations. Support business development activities, including identifying opportunities for additional services and cross-selling to existing clients. Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development. Manage workload allocation within the team to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard. Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment. Qualifications and Experience: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent. CTA desirable/ or willingness to work towards qualification. Extensive experience in tax, accounts preparation, and audit, ideally within a practice environment. Strong knowledge of Irish tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely. Experience with accounting software and tax preparation tools.
