**Audit Manager Role Summary** Lead audit engagements, ensuring effective control design and operating effectiveness, and contribute to the strategic direction of business function activities. About Northern Trust: Northern Trust is a globally recognized financial institution with over 130 years of experience, providing innovative financial services and guidance to the world's most successful individuals, families, and institutions. **Job Description** As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of audit engagements, including planning, developing project scope, maintaining budget and timeframes, and ensuring department standards are met. You will work within the Asset Servicing Audit Team, part of the global Audit Services department, and report directly to an Associate Director. **Key Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and collaborate with the global Asset Servicing audit team on risk area identification and audit deliverables * Demonstrate professional scepticism, evaluating business processes, controls, and operating practices * Project-manage assigned audit deliverables, overseeing audit team staffing, assigning tasks, and monitoring budget * Review audit team output, ensuring adherence to Department standards * Establish and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders * Display strong presentation and communication skills in presenting audit findings * Interact regularly with Senior and Executive Management to assess risk and business changes * Understand and assist in the implementation of data analytic techniques to support testing/assessment * Draft final reports, ensuring adherence to Department's Policies and Standards * Conduct continuous monitoring meetings with the Asset Servicing business and Audit Services management **Requirements:** * College or University degree * Extensive experience in financial services or a similar regulated industry * Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills * Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms * Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) or proven technical abilities in related areas * Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques * Ability to manage through issues and realign priorities and deliverables as needed **About the Role:** This role is balanced between audit execution and development, and contributing towards monitoring the strategic direction of business function activities.
