To oversee and review statutory financial statements, accounts files for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. To review corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff and ensure filings are made in accordance with deadlines. To supervise junior staff and provide assistance regarding technical queries and professional development, including conducting periodic appraisals. To liaise with clients throughout the year and ensure excellent client service is provided at all times. To liaise with all other departments ensuring all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly. To manage the profitable recoverability of work in progress and ensure the monthly agreed targets for billable work is achieved. To maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and course attendance, and to fulfil the Institutes CPD requirements. To assist in proposals for new work, and to take part in formal presentations to prospective clients. To attend staff meetings and training as required. To carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading, as requested by the director. To assist with ad hoc business consultancy. To uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. All other various ad hoc assignments or tasks that may be given to you as part of your employment.
