Audit Senior Manager – Financial Services Banking (BDO Ireland)BDO Ireland's Audit department is growing, and we have an open vacancy for a Senior Manager. This position will work directly with the department's Directors and Partners. Our team's portfolio of clients covers a wide range of financial services areas including banking, asset management, aircraft leasing, securitization, special purpose vehicles, and pension schemes.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities & Relationships:Proactively manage client expectations and be the point-of-contact for clients, working closely with Senior Executive levels in managing the audit-specific requirements.Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across different industries.Manage the international reporting process both to Group Auditors and from Component Auditors.Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs.Lead teams on the planning, execution, and completion of audits.Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients.Report directly to partner/director on engagements.Assist with managing the team's financial performance, e.g., agreeing and billing of fees, cash collections, monitoring recoverability of WIP, etc.Be involved in the design and delivery of technical training.Participate in the coaching, mentoring, and appraisal of staff.Manage and coordinate the pitch/proposals for new work.RelationshipsYou will:Develop strong working relationships with the managers and other members of the team.Actively collaborate with peers in other teams/departments.Be the main point of contact for a range of clients.Develop a good understanding of the firm's core values and how they apply to our objectives/strategies.Share knowledge and experience with others, including on-the-job training of more junior team members.Assist with the preparation of clients' presentations, including preparation of board reports and tender/proposal documents.Skills, Knowledge And ExpertiseACA or ACCA with a minimum of 5 years PQE.Demonstrate strong technical auditing and accounting skills, including knowledge of the ISAs and IFRS.Banking experience.Experience working on large, complex group audits would be advantageous.Proven management skills and behaviors.A strong market/commercial awareness.Understand the operational aspects of managing an audit team and be accountable for results.IncomeCompetitive salary.Annual bonus scheme.Enhanced benefit allowance.Travel Green Allowance Voucher.Mobile phone.Employee referral scheme – "refer a friend".Income protection.Pension scheme.HealthPermanent Health Insurance (Income Protection).Digi Doc.Group health schemes.Life Assurance.Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).Cycle to Work scheme.CSR, Sports and Social, and Wellness Committees.On-site gym.Career ProgressionBDO Learning & Development programme coverage of professional subscription.LeaveTogether Anywhere Leave.Annual Leave Purchase Scheme.Adoptive Leave Increase.LocationFree breakfast every day, state-of-the-art office, central location, on-site café, and on-site complementary barista. #J-18808-Ljbffr
