Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for an Authorisations Associatein the Fitness and Probity team on a Contract of Indefinite Duration in the Regulatory & Business Services Division.This role is aligned with the Bank officer 2 grade and the BO salary scale, between €32,525 and €49,465 applies. The purpose of the role is to support the Fitness and Probity assessment process of a person proposed for Pre Approval Controlled Function (PCF). The key functions are to complete due diligence checks on all PCF applications received, liaise with external Regulators on Fitness and Probity matters and to provide administrative support to assessments and approval of PCFs. Responsibilities: Review PCF applications for approval,and ensure they are in compliance with all legal and / or applicable regulatory requirements, and make recommendations to return the application as incomplete as appropriate. Complete initial due diligence assessment and issue requests to external stakeholders to support the assessment process in accordance with the Banks Service Standards. Answer queries from external stakeholders in relation to the Fitness and Probity application process, escalating where necessary. Issue requests to other EEA regulators in relation to proposed PCF applicant, who have been approved by the other regulator. Process requests (a) from other EEA regulators and (b) to National Vetting Bureau for information on proposed PCF applicants. Issue letters of approval for PCF roles. Support RBSD participation in cases where a Fitness and Probity assessment interview is proposed. Perform User Acceptance Testing on new IT functionality thats developed. Requirements: A professional certificate in regulation or compliance, and/or a degree in a relevant discipline is desirable. 1-2 years experience working in a team environment, preferably in Financial Services where adherence to tight deadlines, attention to detail and very good communication skills are required. Knowledge of Fitness and Probity and relative legislation is desirable. General experience of domestic supervision and regulation is preferred but not essential. Capability with MS suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Power Bi). Experience of user testing in relation to process or system change is desirable. Ability to assess a wide range of information & use judgement.
