Job Description

We currently have a 2 vacancy's for a Authorisations Associate. We currently have a contract of indefinite duration &Specified Purpose Contract of 12 monthsin theCurrency, Workplace & Regulatory Services Division.These role's are aligned with the Bank Officer grade and the BO salary scale, between €32,525 and €49,465 applies. The purpose of these role's is to undertake a full review of Funds and Fund Service Providers applications seeking authorisation and passporting notifications to and from the European Economic Area. The role holder(s) is also responsible for follow-up with the applicant and/or Regulated Financial Service Provider (RFSP), to validate information received and/or seek further information to conduct the review. Responsibilities: Review Authorisation and Passporting applications by firms, for completeness and determine whether it warrants being returned as incomplete; seek further information and/or clarifications as required from applicant; review application and supporting documentation in relation to the RFSP application. Complete a written assessment of Fund Authorisation and Passporting applications/notifications for consideration by the Senior Authorisations Associate. Escalate any concerns arising, such as Data Protection, supervisory issues relating to applicant or RFSP application to the Senior Authorisations Associate for consideration. Where applicable, liaise with other National Competent Authorities (NCA) in relation to information requests regarding applications the Central Bank is assessing. Carry out and report results of user acceptance testing (required to facilitate and sign-off on-going change and development of RBSD owned systems) to the Senior Authorisations Associate and/or RBSD Business Analysts as appropriate. Pro-actively seek to understand the final decisions made by the Senior Authorisations Associate and Authorisation Team Lead on all authorisations in order to develop subject matter expertise. Requirements: Relevant Degree or Professional Qualification is desirable. The Reviewer will have at least 1 years experience working in a team environment, preferably in Financial Services, where adherence to tight deadlines, attention to detail, and very good communication skills are required. General experience of domestic supervision and regulation is a distinct advantage A background or knowledge of financial services, regulation or central banking is desirable. Experience of Word, Excel and Sharepoint, Working knowledge of Funds, Fund Service Provider and Asset Management Passporting legislation is desirable Experience of user testing in relation to process or system change is desirable Ability to interpret and review a wide range of information and draft high quality concise written assessments We know it's our people who make the Central Bank special and we are focused on creating a diverse, inclusive, fulfilling and progressive work environment.
