Our client, a leading manufacturing company in County Tipperary, is seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and reliability in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems to optimize production and manufacturing processes.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to improve system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation equipment and control systems to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for automation systems, including program logic, system configuration, and modifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
