Job Description
An Automation Engineer is required for a medical device manufacturing solutions client in Cork. The role involves designing and integrating control system software for automated machines, developing machine control software, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary project team. Key Responsibilities: • Design and integrate control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, and Vision. • Develop, test, commission, and support machine control software. • Design equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety, and clients' standards. • Interpret and develop design and validation documentation required for regulated industries. • Specify control system components. • Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycle. Requirements: • Bachelors Degree (Level 8) in Science or Engineering, or related discipline. • PLC and HMI experience, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms. • Knowledge of automated machine design, specification, and development. • Familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics.
