What you need to know Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit- Automation Engineer -for our client, based in County Kildare /Newbridge This is a permanent role offering excellent benefits. Possibility of contract roles as well** Your new job Key duties & responsibilities: Main Responsibility: You'll be maintaining and troubleshooting the control systems that keep the factory's high-tech production lines running smoothly. This includes working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), robotics, and vision systems. Problem Solving: When there's a system failure, you'll figure out what's wrong, fix it, and work on preventing it from happening again. Project Work: You'll lead projects to upgrade or replace outdated control system components. Collaboration: You'll work closely with various teams to help them meet safety, quality, and production goals. You'll also support new product launches and improvements to existing processes. Learning and Innovation: You'll need to stay updated on new technologies like machine learning and data analysis to improve the efficiency of the production lines. What are we looking for? Minimum Diploma in Automatic & Control, Automation & Robotics, Electronics & instrumentation, Information Technology & Computing or similar Experience with PLC programming/ trouble shooting, Robotic applications and Vision systems is required. Excellent troubleshooting ability with a track record of root cause identification. Be an excellent communicator. Be an excellent team player. Must be a self - starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office, CAD packages.
