Matrix Recruitment seeks an Automation Engineer for our client, based in County Kildare. **Automation Engineer Role Summary** We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, control systems, and robotics. Job Description: The Automation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting control systems, leading projects to upgrade or replace outdated control system components, and collaborating with various teams to meet safety, quality, and production goals. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs, robotics, and vision systems • Identify and resolve system failures, and work on preventing them from happening again • Lead projects to upgrade or replace outdated control system components • Collaborate with various teams to meet safety, quality, and production goals • Stay updated on new technologies, such as machine learning and data analysis, to improve production line efficiency Requirements: • Minimum Diploma in Automatic & Control, Automation & Robotics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Information Technology & Computing or similar • Industry experience in high-tech manufacturing, automation, or process control environment, with at least 5 years' experience • Experience with PLC programming/troubleshooting, robotic applications, and vision systems • Excellent troubleshooting ability with a track record of root cause identification • Excellent communication and team player skills • Passion for continuous learning and improvement • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office, CAD packages We Value Your Skills: If you have the required skills and experience, please send your CV in word format to Patricia.
