As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining digital infrastructure platforms to drive innovation by making informed decisions using real-time data and information. A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:

  1. Designing and delivering end-to-end data solutions to meet our current and future needs
  2. Facilitating the smooth transition of projects from development into the production environment
  3. Overseeing migration of data from legacy systems to new applications
  4. Acting as a subject matter expert and the technical go-to for the data integration solutions
  5. Becoming intimately familiar with the data model of the process systems
  6. Iterating and shipping ideas quickly with minimal direction
  7. Collaborating effectively with other functions and groups on the site's data strategy
  8. Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  9. Producing detailed documentation to a high standard

This role might be for you if:

  1. You have general IT administration experience and system upgrades/maintenance/migrations (infrastructure, applications) experience
  2. You possess an excellent understanding of protocols such as OPC, UPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTP
  3. You have experience in SQL and knowledge of database structures
  4. You demonstrate knowledge/skills with REST API and SDK
  5. You are knowledgeable in analytics and data insights

To be considered for this opportunity you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study. Associate Engineer requires 0-2 years relevant experience. Engineer requires 3+ years relevant experience. Senior Engineer requires 5+ years of relevant experience.
