Position: Automation Engineer Location: Longford Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 per annum Exciting Opportunity: Automation Engineer in Longford! About Our Client: Our client, a leading company based in Longford, is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement automation systems to enhance production processes. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation equipment and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions. Conduct regular maintenance and updates to automation systems to ensure optimal performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes and systems. Provide technical support and training to the production and maintenance teams. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative automation solutions. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an Automation Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
