Job Description

Responsibilities Work on multiple phases of a project and/or multiple small projects of moderate scope and sometimes complex assignments. Take responsibility for a technical area and work on results evaluation, problem resolution, and planning. Select appropriate standards, methods, tools, and applications for project use. Apply data analysis and data modelling techniques to modify or maintain a data structure and its associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions). Create and execute basic non-functional test scripts following a given set of guidelines and set up test environments, data, and monitors. Design, code, test, and document simple programs or scripts and assist in the implementation of software which forms part of a properly engineered system. Co-ordinate the information gathering and reporting process, conduct research to define problems and prepare responses to anticipated questions. Accurately identify project risks and report effectively to relevant stakeholders. Manage issues, risks, actions, dependencies, and defects to ensure the success of the project. Create traceability records, from test cases back to requirements. Report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases. Produce test scripts, materials, and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services. Maintain the status of projects and provide guidance to the work of junior team members, working across teams to achieve group goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience. ISTQB Foundation. Essential Skills Excellent client-facing skills. Teamwork and emotional intelligence. Good self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mindset. Has an innovative approach – a bold thinker and doer, matching creativity with vigilance. High value on openness and transparency. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience 5+ years of software testing experience throughout all phases of a software testing cycle, including 3+ years of automation experience. Automation & Scripting knowledge, Python or equivalent, ability to create automated tests utilizing frameworks & jUnit, Selenium, Cucumber / Serenity BDD, Rest Assured (Desired). Good knowledge of databases and SQL knowledge highly desired. Quality-focused with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team. Hands-on experience in agile implementations. Provide technical guidance and coaching to QA engineers to support quality goals. Experience of Behavioral Driven Development & Test Driven Development, knowledge of Gherkin Syntax with Cucumber a bonus. Knowledge of SDLC tools such as: Jenkins, Rundeck, Gitlab source control. Experienced with Atlassian Toolset (JIRA).
