Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Automation Test Engineer with a strong focus on DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in test automation frameworks, cloud technologies, and be comfortable working in a DevOps/GitOps environment. This role requires a self-starter who can independently solve complex problems while collaborating effectively with global teams. Responsibilities: Test Automation: Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts using frameworks like Robot Framework, qTest, or QF-Test, with a strong emphasis on BDD (Gherkin). DevOps Integration: Work seamlessly within a DevOps/GitOps environment, contributing to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, Groovy, and Python. Problem Solving: Take the initiative to identify and resolve both functional and non-functional issues, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Agile Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within teams using JIRA, particularly in Kanban and Scrum methodologies, to manage tasks and workflows. Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse, globally distributed teams, ensuring alignment and smooth project execution. Key Skills: Cloud Experience: Strong expertise in Azure is essential. Experience with other cloud providers is an added advantage. Test Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in using Robot Framework or similar test automation tools (qTest, QF-Test) and BDD methodologies. DevOps Tools: Extensive hands-on experience with Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, Groovy, and Python for automation and infrastructure management. Beneficial Skills: Validation & Verification: Knowledge of Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and Installation Verification processes. Kubernetes: Experience with Kubernetes administration and application deployment. SDLC & GxP: Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in GxP-controlled environments. System Administration: Competency in Linux/Windows administration. API & Web Services: Experience in testing, implementing, and integrating APIs and web services. Manufacturing Technology: Understanding of shop floor manufacturing technologies such as MES, Historian, and SCADA.
