Position: Production Manager Department: Production Reporting To: Repair Station Manager Location: Overall Responsibility Our client, a thriving aviation company, is looking for a proactive Production Manager to manage their engine repair operations. Youll lead a talented team, optimise processes, and ensure compliance with rigorous safety and quality standards. Job Description Manages the production team for products primarily on-site maintenance of engines for Engine Services in Dublin Develops in concert with the company network improved work-specifications to maximise value from labour, tooling and processes while reducing cost of non-quality, test cell rejects and potential warranty exposure. Introduces and maintains processes, equipment and supplies that assure efficient and effective processing of job cards, materials and planning to perform the on-site repair of engines Provision of tools, equipment and materials associated with the maintenance tasks undertaken by production Ensuring sufficient manpower resources are available to perform scheduled maintenance activity Integrates and collaborates with the company's worldwide network to develop a successful global network Facilitates the training of mechanics to support the production ramp-up capacity plan Provides leadership for Production Team leaders / Supervisors and employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate continuous improvements and improved working relationships Integrates and collaborates with the company's worldwide network to develop a successful global network Measures performance to company goals and standards including production cost budgetary goals Ensures compliance with worthiness, environmental, health and safety directives Meets contractual turn-times as agreed with EOC Complies with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications / Skills An Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical / Production Management) or Maintenance Engineers license or equivalent alternative educational background Post graduate qualification in Production Planning and / or Lean Production Systems desirable Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate production team to achieve agreed goals Highly structured with excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to understand complex processes involving multiple disciplines Strong analytical / problem solving skills in a team environment Highly developed and impactful communication style with extensive experience, both verbal and written as well as competent report writing skills Must be self-driven with excellent collaborative working skills with the leadership team to achieve the agreed business goals Ability to work on own initiative with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Results orientated with a strong Quality ethos Strong IT & Digital skills an advantage Experience Minimum of 10 years experience working in production planning / engineering / leadership roles Minimum of 5 years experience leading a production team Extensive experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably in aviation Experience with Application of digitalisation to improve business processes Proven track record in problem solving in complex environment Flexibility Availability to deal with urgent issues outside normal hours Availability for business travel as required If you are living in Ireland and hold a VALID WORK PERMIT, we would love to hear from you, if however, you do not hold a valid work permit unfortunately we will not be in a position to assist you with your job search.
