DevOps Engineer Job Description
Join our UK&I Technology team as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to the development of tools and microservices that propel our products forward.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will possess extensive DevOps experience and be responsible for developing tools and microservices that propel our products forward and working with cross-functional teams. A big part of the role will be migrating from On-Prem Data center and AWS Cloud platform to Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring well-tested, documented, and peer-reviewed code by encouraging best practices and applying software engineering principles.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines, as well as implementing security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to deliver successful, high-profile, business-critical projects in a fast-moving, product-centric environment.
- Developing infrastructure automation scripts using tools like Terraform/Terragrunt.
Requirements
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies. Experience with modern dev practices and supporting technologies such as CI/CD, BDD, Terraform and GitHub/GitLab.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams in technical discussions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in relevant technical skills and tools required for the role.
- Knowledge of Java/Spring boot.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
