Join our small team as a mid-level Backend Software Engineer, working remotely with flexible hours. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining our backend, focusing on sync and async data processing on a REST API and data consuming data on Apache Kafka. Key responsibilities include implementing secure, efficient, and scalable solutions, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, and identifying and correcting bottlenecks and bugs. Requirements include proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on Type Script, Rust, Elixir, or another functional programming language, and strong experience with RDBMS and database migrations. * Design, develop, and maintain our backend, focusing on sync and async data processing on a REST API and data consuming data on Apache Kafka
* Utilize Type Script, Rust, or Elixir as a programming language
* Implement secure, efficient, and scalable solutions using best practices in software development
* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
* Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
* Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on Type Script, Rust, Elixir, or another functional programming language and web application development
* Strong experience with RDBMS and database migrations
* Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting, using your own equipment
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with technologies such as Git/Git Hub, Linux/Unix systems, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes is critical
