Job Description

We are recruiting a Pharmacist to provide effective, efficient, and safe pharmaceutical care to patients at UPMC Aut Even Hospital. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, understanding and promoting UPMC core values, managing medicine shortages, and contributing to the development of medicines information resources. Additional duties include identifying and addressing deficiencies in medications management systems, auditing compliance to good clinical practice standards, and developing reports on Key Performance indicators. The successful candidate will also participate in multidisciplinary meetings, hospital committees, and working groups, and will be responsible for supervising and line managing staff, as needed. The role requires excellent planning, organisational, and resource management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and people management skills. The Pharmacist will work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure that patient care is central to all activities of the Department of Pharmacy. The successful candidate will be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered, and will possess the requisite specialised knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the role. The Pharmacist will also be able to demonstrate evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development and role-specific learning.
