Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Radiographer to join a radiology team in Dublin, delivering high standards of radiography and advancing service offerings.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Perform radiographic examinations as required, adhering to competency framework and maintaining high standards of radiography.
  • Participate in on-call service as needed, adhering to radiation protection principles and staying informed about relevant directives and standards.
  • Conduct routine inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Acknowledge personal limitations and seek guidance from senior staff when necessary.
  • Follow directions from superiors and departmental protocols, staying updated on current techniques and advancements in radiography.
  • Ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and safety in the department, adhering to infection control procedures and Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide quality service to patients with a focus on individualized care, efficiency, and confidentiality.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by superiors, maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and non-radiographic staff.
  • Participate in radiology Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) as required, adapting to evolving service requirements and changes within the hospital.

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
  • CORU registered
  • Some post-qualification experience in a radiology department is desirable.

  • Ability to interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills to address enquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Proficiency in presenting information clearly.
