Role Summary Behavioural pharmacology team leader sought for cutting-edge psychedelic research and neurodevelopmental disorders treatment projects. Job Description We are an Irish private R&D organization, Ulysses Neuroscience Limited, providing clinical and preclinical research services to pharmaceutical companies to accelerate their drug discovery programmes in neuropsychiatric, neurodegenerative and rare neurological disorders. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the pharmacology team • Ensure projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, timeliness and financial efficiency • Manage lab-based duties • Design, execute, and critically interpret behavioural and EEG experiments • Manage preclinical studies, technical teams, and CROs (Contract Research Organisations) • Present scientific data internally and externally in a clear and concise manner Requirements • PhD in Neuroscience or a related field • Minimum of 3 years' experience in behavioural pharmacology and EEG research • Experience in surgical implantation of electrophysiological electrodes in rodents • Strong proficiency in signal processing and analysis, data management, and statistical analysis • Ability to independently design, execute, and critically interpret behavioural and EEG experiments • Proven record in managing preclinical studies and technical teams • Strong written and oral communication skills About the Company Ulysses Neuroscience is a leading organisation in translational neuroscience, committed to advancing knowledge and treatment of brain disorders through collaboration with pharmaceutical companies.
